jules57 Posted February 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2015 This is the first time that DH and I have cruised since he started PD dialysis. We were told by the hospital to lead a normal life and having supplies delivered to the port was so easy. Haha! By supplies we are talking about 14 x 10 litres plus a few incidentals. We will have to take the machine and other supplies with us (as expected). Celebrity say that their Port Agent will take delivery (as expected) on the day of the cruise and Baxters (who are the suppliers) say that they cannot guarantee when they will deliver but it is unlikely to be on the day we sail. In all fairness to Celebrity, they are liaising with our TA and have spoken to Baxters. Our TA is being very helpful. At present the suggestion is that we take everything with us. There is simply too much for us to take along with our luggage so currently considering using the Baggage Handling Company to take our luggage and we take the equipment and supplies with us to ensure that it reaches the ship. We will speak to our Hospital Liaison Rep to see if she can help but are there any other dialysis patients out there in the UK who can give us the benefit of their experience? If anyone has used the Baggage Handling Company?
