Hi Keith,

My partner and I will also be aboard Legend for the first part of its trip across the Pacific. We are getting off in Honolulu. We have been visiting Montreal since January so after the bone-chilling cold of a Canadian winter I am definitely looking forward to relaxing in the warmth of the sun on the trip!

Christopher,

Good to hear from you. I'm glad that you have replied to my post. we are traveling with two friends we met on our last cruise to the Caribbean I January so there are at least six of us to be there. I hope that you didn't post your reply a long time ago and you thought I was not looking at the board. Are you two from Canada? How old are you?

No worries, Keith. I haven't been checking the board often.

To answer your questions, my partner and I are 40 and 50 respectively. We aren't Canadian (I'm originally from Washington, DC) but we decided to spend the winter in Montreal. It's been wonderful but extremely cold! The temperature never got above freezing for the entire month of February, a record. I'm just looking forward to relaxing, soaking up the sun and playing in the casino on the cruise. My partner, a professor, usually prefers to find a quiet nook where he can read. We are very different! ;)

While we have been ticketed on Legend for quite a while, last week I decided to book my mother and aunt a cabin as well. They are two feisty English ladies who are loads of fun and need a break.

Have you and your friend cruised a lot? Are you continuing on to Sydney?

hello to you all.

I am also booked on this cruise.

I usually only go on one roll call at a time, and I am leaving on the Legend for the Panama Canal eastbound in two days.

If you guys haven't sailed on Legend or this class of Royal and have any quesitons, please feel free to ask and I will be glad to answer or find out.

I was last on Legend in February for a 10-night Caribbean.

I like this ship a lot.

traveling alone, so look for the 6ft5 bearded guy. my photo is current.

Christopher,

Sorry for the delay in reply. Not going on to Sydney this trip but if you have never been there you'll love it I'm sure. Glad to hear that you two are bringing some older gals with you. Bud and I are probably more like their age. I'm 68 and he is 77 our friends are 36 and 33 respectively. We are slated for eight zero three zero. This is our first time on RC we usually do Celebrity or Regent. I'll check and find out what the bars on the ship are named and perhaps we can plan to meet the first night at sea.

Christopher,

We have booked a tour of form Hilo of that part of the island you may be interested in checking it out:

Ricky’s Tours” that is recommended on the boards on CruiseCritic and has good reviews on TripAdvisor.

Assuming that we all get down to the ship in Ensenada, do the muster drill, and are free by 630 or so, that time would work.

I assume you have heard about all of the Norovirus problams on Legend.

The last cruise was really bad. This one started out bad, but in the last few days there has only been 1 new case each day, so all of the sanitizing by the crew has worked well. Lots of places on the ship have been more limited this trip.

We went thru the Canal yesterday and are docked in Colon today.

If you have any questions about the ship, etc. please ask now so I can answer or find out the info before this cruise ends in a few days.

Thanks for the reply David. No questions that I can think of but they may come up before we leave NC. We will be in San Diego visiting our friends there for a few days before and then on to Ensenada. I see you sailed on the Titanic that must have been exciting. You look marvelous!
