St Kitts Rainforest

Do you have to book a tour or can you wander around without a group. Where do you go? Anyone have anyone advice.

I would book a tour. There are many places that you can enjoy the rainforest but you have to get there. For something completely different go to Ottley's and do their rainforest trail and have lunch or a rum punch afterwards.

Ottley's sounds perfect-do you have to book a tour or can you just cab it there and walk the trails yourself? Their website didn't give specific info regarding the trail.

It is a self guided tour, no booking needed. The trail is narrow and can be muddy depending on the rainfall. I would find a taxi that would take you there and wait for you.

My husband and I want to go to Ottleys's as well. Please post if you find out more info. We could share a taxi.

we booked a hike with a guide named Oneal Mulraine , he picked us up at the port and then drove us to the base of the mountain , about 40 min drive , he gave us info on his island and we stopped in little villages , he was very informative .. then we got there around 9h20 , took us about 1h40 to hike the volcano , the nature is beautiful there .. strenuous hike but well worth it !
