Picture of Spirit 6281 plus birthday decorations

I'm extremely grateful to Cruise Critic for helping with nearly every aspect of this great Alaskan cruise. My dad and his wife were in cabin 6281 which is an 8E with the long balcony (and handicapped). We did a lateral move to 6281 from 6262 about 6 weeks before the cruise (we didn't need handicap). Other than the delays on the power doors, which takes some getting used to, this was a great cabin. There is a table and chairs instead of the couch in order to have more floor space.

I searched for birthday decorations at several places before the trip and figured I'd have to spend $20-25 to decorate the cabin. Carnival charged $32 for fabulous decorations and it was done before we arrived.

We also had cabin 6279 and had the balcony divider opened between the 2 cabins for a really long balcony. It was great for glacier/sealife viewing.

See the pictures.
