Kruzermum Posted May 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Hi there, Can anyone tell me if there is a cruise company operating out of SE Asia who cruises to Vietnam, Cambodia and other various places? We are not interested in a large commercial cruise line, we have done many of those previously. But rather a smaller intimate line that operates out of ASIA. In 2013 we took a small ship from Singapore up the Malaka Strait it was fabulous, the company was called Classic International Cruises, it was down form the UK.. absolutely brilliant experience and only 300 of us on board. Looking for something similar Thanks in advance
HDS Posted May 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Pandaw have small ship cruises on the Irrawaddy, Chidwin and Mekong rivers that go well beyond the usual tourist strip river cruising. In 2013 we took a cruise to the upper Irrawaddy with only 15 passengers. Guides and service were exceptionally good. http://www.pandaw.com
Rare cruisemom42 Posted May 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) I sailed with Voyages to Antiquity to SE Asia this past winter -- small ship (Aegean Odyssey) holds about 350 passengers max. They do itineraries in Asia during the winter season. We had stops in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore with a great pre-cruise visit to Angkor Wat. Edited to add: The ship was continuing on to Myanmar after I departed; many people were staying onboard -- wish I could've.
