We had an aft cabin on the Disney Dream and you are right, it is very peaceful and quiet back there. Really looking forward to it.

First Stop Grand Cayman - We had booked a Jet Ski/Stingray City Tour and were to meet on the dock at 8:20. Well....we typically wake up between 6 and 7 without an alarm. However, this time we didn't wake up until 8am! We figured there was no way we could make it so we would just go into town and wing it. So we got ready, packed our beach bag and went to the Blue Iguana for a breakfast burrito. I know everyone raves about these but we didn't really care for them. I think it was the cheese that ruined it for us. We never tried them again so I guess we will just have to cruise again soon and give them another try;). We went to Guest Service and flashed our FTTF and they walked us to the front of the tender line and we were the first ones on. Once in port we decided to take a bus to Royal Palms Beach. I had read good things and we were the only ship in port so no worry of being too crowded. We walked to the bus depot and got right on, more of a van than bus. Once at Royal Palms there was a security guard at front collecting the entrance fee, $3 each I think. He said they would come around later to collect for chairs but to go ahead and choose our spot. We found 2 right up front and staked our claim. The beach and water were beautiful. We took a walk up and down the beach and were in awe of the beauty. We have been to GC before but just on a Catamaran to Stingray City and back to port. So this was a real treat to just relax and enjoy that lovely cool, clear water. We went up to the bar area and I had a Cayman Beer and DH had a Mojito. We ordered the Coconut Shrimp with Mango Salsa and it was so delicious. Then we grabbed a bucket of Caymen Brew and headed back to our spot and into the water. About 1:30 we packed up and walked out front to catch a taxi back to port. WOW, what a great day we had.

Back on board we grabbed a drink and headed up to the Serenity to relax before Sail Away. It was so peaceful and mostly empty at this time. After a while we went to the Lido to have a Red Frog Beer and watch the last tenders racing to the ship. Then we headed back to the cabin to take a nap. I was up first and got ready before DH. I told him I'd meet him up at The Alchemy. I was wearing a lovely peach and cream print Maxi but only brought my small black evening bag. I thought it looked a bit odd but I had no choice, I need my glasses to see the menu :p. When DH meant me at The Alchemy he said "look in my jacket". When I opened it up he had a beautiful little satin cream colored bag. He had went to the stores and found it for me:). That was so sweet and thoughtful, I just love that man! So off to dinner, but I can't remember what we had. I think I had the cream of potato and leek soup. Most every soup I had on this cruise was really good. Except for the chilled ones, just not into those. After dinner we went to the Piano Bar and it was crowded but seemed kind of boring. So we went to the Casino Bar and stayed there. They had a great band there throughout the cruise. After a few drinks and a couple dances we called it a night. Tomorrow was Roatan and we were looking forward to that port the most. So more late night pizza, it was sooooo good. Hung our room service sign out for coffee and pastries in the morning and it was lights out.

I'm enjoying your review. I've been looking into the Glory for sping break next year. I might just have to book it now.

You absolutely should do it, it is a great ship. I would book it again in a minute. I am trying to upload photos from Roatan so I hope to get to that port today. Thanks for following along:)

We are on the Glory "journey's" cruise Oct. 31. DH and I love the aft facing cabin and will spend a lot of time there on this 14-day cruise (our longest).

Loved seeing the balcony photos and remembering how wonderful it is, how peaceful and pleasant.

I'm enjoying your review as it helps me survive the next 160 days!

ROATAN! We had been looking forward to this port the most. I had started researching on the best place to spend the day, other than Mahogany Bay. We wanted to get away from port so after much research and reading reviews we settled on Little French key. Such a great decision, it was absolutely beautiful.

Our tablemates were going too so we would meet up with them to share a ride to Frenchy's where we would tender over to the island. You have to walk through the port and up the hill, about 5 minutes. Then you see all the drivers holding signs and asking where you are going. We said LFK and they said "Oh you're with Larry right over here". Then "Larry" walks us over to our driver named .....Larry! He was so funny and full of information, he was born and raised on the island. After about a 15 minute ride we arrived at Frenchy's. Pulling into the driveway the car bottomed out on some gravel. Larry said "No worries, this is Larry's car!"

We had purchased the $88pp package, includes 2 drinks each and Lunch. We walked around a bit and found a spot to put our stuff. Then we hit the water, it was so cool and clear. After cooling off we decided to get a drink and walked around the island a bit and found this cute little bar. Spencer was the bartender and he was so friendly and sweet. When we told him we were from Las Vegas he said he'd always wanted to visit. We told him we would make a deal. He could come to Vegas and stay at our place for a week and we would stay on the island and bartend for him.;) he said, " Oh only if it were that easy".

After chatting with Spencer we grabbed another drink and decided to go get our stuff and move to this side of the island. Lots of places to sit and the water was still awesome! On the way DH saw these hammocks and wanted to get a picture in it. I told him hand me your drink, he said naw I got this. He sits down and as he leans back the hammock flipped and he landed in the sand. Never spilled a drop;) We were laughing so hard, as were the family that were walking by. Here is the after shot and a few other random shots

We got into the water and stood out at one of the tables talking to some nice people that were on the Sunshine. On this cruise we meant several people in different ports that were on the Sunshine. Completely different views, some didn't like it and others loved it. I guess like anything it's a personal preference. We decided it was time to go get our Lunch so we went over to the bar that had swings in the water at the bar, so cool. We ordered our food from the bartender, who looked exactly like Usher:) Super sweet kid and very entertaining. The :mad:food looks a mess but it was really good. There was chicken, shrimp, lobster, rice, beans, beets and fried plantains.

You can see how clear the water is, there are little fish swimming around DH feet.
