Hi There,

Just got off RP from the 1st around Britain, and of course spent last Thursday lying off Bangor.

I reckon RP will find Belfast problematic during the season to come, particularly with an Easterly wind - OK not common usually.

The Captain also noted that RP needs a decent tide, plus the swing at East Twin is extremely tight especially with the Stena Berth in such close proximity, add to that the reversal to Stormont Wharf and you have quite a problematic mix. Our saving grace was the half dozen containers (food) that needed loading otherwise we would have been cruising the North Coast......so expect some more no shows.......Incidentally when did a plastic Tent become a Cruise Terminal ......terrible......no organisation when we finally arrived, just organised confusion......not a good picture for Belfast in comparion with other ports:(

Hi big Joe thanks for the info. Did you take any pics of Belfast from the ship ? We run a Facebook page called Belfast Cruise Ship Watch, would love to share some of your report and images with our readership if you agree and have any pics ? Ed
