bongobongo Posted May 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2015 We are booked on the Snow Shoes & Ski-Doos cruise to northern Norway in March 2016 on the Balmoral. This is our first ever cruise. Can anyone offer advice on how cold it will be on deck and on land? Also, how warm will it be inside the ship? We are not keen on dressing up, and so will be avoiding 'formal' nights. What other dining options are available on those nights?
Coravel Posted May 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2015 It's impossible to answer your first question because we were in northern Norway in March 2013 and it was bitterly cold outside on deck and land. Lots of snow and ice everywhere we went. But we went again in March this year and it was quite mild with almost no snow at low levels although there was lots on the mountains which made the scenery almost too beautiful to describe. Inside the ship will be warm and you can make your cabin as hot as you can stick it. If you don't like dressing up, there is an alternative self service restaurant where everything is informal and you can sit where you prefer.
