Passport And Birth Certificate???

I just read a review for the Conquest where the guest had to show her passport and her birth certificate....has this happened to anyone? My DH and I are leaving in 4 days, and I've never had to show both documents. I'm not even sure where the b.c's are!

My understanding is that if you have not had your passport for at least 6 months than you do need your birth certificate as well! Could be wrong, but when we just booked our cruise for Australia that is what we were told.

Good Luck!

not until 1/1/2008 by ship in North America--- subject to change. Passports are accepted even when expired now so it makes no sense to have to carry the bc and the passport...In some foreign countries passports that have less than 6 months to run until expiring are ng for entry but this doesn't apply to North America...yet.. there is an announcemat at the US Department of State website.
