[Hows the Serenity]

Am taking a HAL cruise via Monaco in May. The stop in Monaco coincides with the Grand Prix, and having been there previously during the Grand Prix realise the town is virtually a no go area. Anybody have any idea how the cruise line copes with this. The tours as advertised etc. Does the boat birth well away from the grand prix area. Thanks in advance, Alan

Have you been able to understand what access we will have to Monte Carlo on 27th May?

We are also cruising on the Eurodam from May 6 to May 30.

As we are Aussies, just happened on this post, we had no idea the Grand Prix was on that weekend.

My husband Ken, is excited to be in the city at least a couple of days pre event (the atmosphere he tells me). He is a car buff.

We would appreciate any feedback that you can give us.

As I understand it practise is in the morning and is free to view, there are auto parades thereafter but the afternoon is clear of cars. Cruise ships seem to anchor off the harbour and you might get a grandstand view, or not, take your binoculars !!!! Hope this helps. Alan S

It should be great, I think I will take in the Princess Grace Rose Garden in the morning and let Ken do the car thing, then catch up for lunch, the casino, the marina etc.......it should be an interesting day.
