Golden Princess - Baja deck - balcony

Hi - does anybody have any advice or views on BD grade Balcony cabin on Baja deck which I've been offered?

icon_confused.gif I'm booking my first cruise and am confused about the different grades and what the difference room to room is for the same type of room, eg, we're looking to book a balcony room - but I'm not sure what the difference is between BD, BC, etc

What balcony room / deck would be a good one to go for on the Golden Princess?

  • 4 weeks later...

We sailed on the Golden a couple of weeks ago. We had Baja Balcony cabins B707 and B709. I'm not sure what the difference is between BD, BC, etc. either, however our cabins were very nice. The balconies were large enough for a table and 2-3 chairs. I would recommend the Baja deck.

All the standard balcony cabins are identical. The differences come in location and balcony size.

The balconies on Lido, Aloha and Baja are 9 x 5 and fully covered, the balconies on Caribe are 9 x 9 and half open, half covered.

Hope that helps!

Loved our balcony on Baha. We were BD aft also and on port side. Near elevators and laundry. Also walk up one set of stairs at the elevators and the adult pool was at our end. 2 hot tubs in that area and Horizon Court nearby, burger and pizza place also close. That was on the Grand.

Hi - Congratulations on your first cruise. Let us know what you thought when you get back. You've found the right place to have all of your questioned answered (these CCers know just about everything!!).

We were in a quad BC near the midship elevators on the Grand. Wonderful location. Very, very convenient location to everything except the laundry which hopefully you will not need anyway. Loved the layout of the Grand.
