Cruisin for a Cause - military theme cruise??

A couple years ago, Princess offered a military veteran themed cruise from Houston which featured guest speakers and such. Plus it helped raise money for veteran charity groups.

 

Are these still going on? We are interested.

Was that the cruise with then Princess President Alan Buckelew who was a Vietnam Vet?

 

Have not seen any since.

I was on that cruise. The ship was about 1/2 full. Lots of vets, lots of programs with some big names. overall a great cruise.

 

No "slacks and polo shirts" on formal night too.

 

But, I have not seen anything else about such cruises.

Cruise was too short to attract many people. There was heavy discounting as embarkation day approached.

 

No repeat since then Princess President Alan Buckelew (a veteran) was promoted to living in China.

 

Buckelew was in charge of Princess when the Veterans OBC was introduced.
