Breakaway in Bermuda week of June 14

I heard there was a terrible accident that involved someone on the breakaway in Bermuda that involved a rented scooter. Anyone else hear about this? I was worried about renting one while there.

Accidents happen all the time - do you really want to ruin a vacation with this possibility? OK, accidents can happen anywhere but there is a high rate of scooter accidents in Bermuda with the winding narrow roads & left side driving is insane if you are not used to it. The Captain on NCL Dawn strongly advised against it multiple times on our last cruise. JMHO

I was on the Breakaway that week and heard rumors about the accident, but never found out if it was true or not.

Someone on the Shipmate app. posted in their NCL Breakaway review that someone was killed in a scooter accident. So I think there is some truth to it if it's being reported in multiple places.

I was on the ship last week as well and that seemed to be what everyone on board was talking about all day and night Saturday.

Just got off Dawn today. Saw a lady with crutches and her leg bandaged with a brace. Looked in a lot of pain. Was trying to walk on the crutches. Sure it was from a moped or scooter accident. Cruise line always advises not to rent these
