Renaissance -Fort Lauderdale

Riba

Recommended Posts

We will be staying here the night before our cruise in March. We are wondering where to eat dinner and breakfast??? Is there any restaurants very, very close to the hotel that anyone would recommend? How about the hotel restaurants? Thanks for any info.......

We stayed there this past Feb. We ate at the seafood restaurant near the waterway, I believe the name was Bimini Boatyard. You can walk there from the Rennaissance.

We also ate at Chucks, a place where the locals go for ribs and steaks. It is also within walking distance, just up the street away from the water, about 3 blocks on the same side of the street as the hotel.

We ate breakfast at the hotel....not to my liking, and service was not too swift.

There are also other small restaurants adjacent to the hotel in the courtyard, like Italian etc. and we wished we would have eaten there too.

The staff at the Rennaissance was outstanding, as was our room.

Renaissance is an excellent hotel, and there are many many restaurants within easy walking distance.

Bravo is an excellent Italian restaurant, in the same strip mall as the hotel... http://www.bravoitaliano.com/

Also in the same mall is Bimini Boatyard, but personally I don't think it's as good as it used to be.

In the strip mall across the street, just to the west of Holiday Inn Express and Extended Stay America there's a small diner that several people have told me has a great breakfast. (I'm not a breakfast person and haven't been there myself though)

Tara Steak & Lobster will be opening soon, just across the street, next door to Extended Stay America... http://www.tarasteakandlobsterhouse.com/

Chuck's Steakhouse is a few blocks west, across from the big mustard yellow Embassy Suites... http://www.chucksflorida.com/

Quarterdeck on Cordova Road is good for less expensive, lighter food... http://www.quarterdeckrestaurant.com/

There are several other restaurants within easy walking distance as well, something for everyone.
