For those who have done both

Which one would you choose again and why

Here is a list of our priorities

We are trying to figure out which one to try,

Easy Beach Access for swimming (less rocks)

Shaded areas with chairs

We have done Maya Key and loved it. We did our excursion through the cruise ship, and was picked up at the dock by boat. It was about a 20 min boat ride from Mahogany Bay. We were given a quick briefing upon arrival and off we went to spend our day. The place is well maintained, clean and the flora and fauna are beautiful. Snorkeling was some of the best we have ever done, and really good snorkel guides. There is lot's of chairs and shade on the beach, easy walk in beach. Snorkeling though is at the end of a pier located at the beach, easy access in and out of the water. Lunch is a yummy island lunch buffet with baked chicken, fish, coconut rice and beans and banana chips. The drinks are strong, and price good. They range from $2 for a soda to $7 or $8 for mixed and frozen drinks. I haven't been to LFK to compare, but would return to MK when we go back to Roatan.
