Dining table assignment for family of 4

We have early seating for my family of four. We're hoping to get a table with just the four of us. How would we go about ensuring this?

All you have to do is email the maître d two weeks before you sail and

request a table for four. The email is the first two letters of the ship.

Example: If you are on the Pride the email would be prmaitred@carnival.com

4 days notice is all that is required to request a table. Email the Maitre'd telling him what date, what cabin and in this case, early seating and would like a table for just the 4 of you... Majority of the time your request will be honored but do not worry if you do not hear from the Maitre'd, they are not required to email you back.

 

Of course, once on board, check out the table and if not happy, then see the Maitre'd around 2:00 in the dining room (the actual time will be listed in the Fun Times)

I have traveled several times with 2-3 others on two different Carnival ships and we have always been assigned a table with just our family. Never made a table request.

Are we talking about four adults or a couple and children. My thoughts on the best seating for dinner are very different for these scenarios.
