Got free soda package, pay the difference for a package with alcohol

Looking at a cruise where one of the perks (Not sure if it RCL or TA offered if that matters) is a soda package for two persons. Once onboard can we 'upgrade' to a package with wine/mixed drinks, and just pay the difference (any thoughts on how much that would be 7 day cruise). Thanks.

They normally let you upgrade by paying the difference.

 

Here are the different packages. You would need the Premium or Ultimate pacgafe to get mixed drinks. Just subtract the $8 cost of the soda package and multiply by the number of days:
