sartoken Posted October 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2015 The Grey Cup, Canada's version of the Super Bowl, will be played on Nov.29 while we are on the Pearl. Is there any chance that we would be able to see the game on board?
iceprincess0407 Posted October 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2015 I cruised during semi finals in 2013 and nothing was shown. Grey Cup is different and I'd hope that the ESPN would show the game. Fingers crossed for you. And good luck to your team as the Riders are out. I hope that helped
strand Posted October 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2015 I'm in Toronto and the Grey Cup is not Canada's version of the Super Bowl. The Argo's average 9 to 12K people to their home games which is an embarrassment. When Michigan State can get 110K to a home game, please never compare the CFL to the NFL. sartoken Posted October 19, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted October 19, 2015 I guess it's just the for the rest of Canada, and not Toronto. On the other hand , why has Toronto bid, and got the Grey Cup game for 2016, if it will be an embarrassment to the city? I certainly hope that you won't be watching it. strand Posted October 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2015 Yes, a championship game in the upgraded soccer stadium with seating for 18,000 fans.
Jane Don Posted October 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2015 Yes, a championship game in the upgraded soccer stadium with seating for 18,000 fans. I appreciate the CFL. It is nice to have a professional sport I can afford to take my family to see. Leafs tickets are averaging $600 a piece. I can do a 7 day cruise for same cost as one Leafs game! As a former rugby player, I enjoy the faster pace on the bigger field. And BTW. The lowest attendance at an Argos home game ever was over 14,000 fans.
