Quick Question about bahamas

It's best to have a passport for any cruise that goes out of the country. If you don't have a passport you need a birth certificate with a raised seal. Check your cruise documentation to be sure you have everything in order before you sail.

It actually was easy to get off in the Bahamas you only had to swipe your sea pass card. It was more difficult getting off in Key West because everyone on the ship had to present themselves with Birth Certificate and Drivers license to imigration before anyone could get off the ship and you had to show your drivers license and sea pass card to get back on. I sailed with BC and Drivers license and had no problems

We sailed on the Majesty last year using birth certificates and driver's licenses. We would get passports if they weren't so expensive.

They're not getting any cheaper. You should look ahead to get them and have them. Less than 10 per year per person to get them - if you want to look at it that way.
