My wife and I are going to Belize for a New Years cruise and need suggestions on a excursion, no caves or water excursion please. My wife wants to see the city sights anything there to see?

Thanks

Belize City is a working city and not a lot of tourist spots inside the city limits.

There are city tours, some offered in conjunction with Maya ruins tours to Altun Ha (nearest ruins). Many of these are offered by cruise ships but there are independent vendors like Belize-cruise-excursions.

You can a city tour via a horse drawn carriage/wagon outside the cruise port center where the tenders dock.

There are some museums in the city within walking distance of the tender docks. Most notably, the cultural museum housed in the old Governors Mansion across from the Anglican Church (you can see the cannons in the yard from the tender on the way in), and then Museum of Belize just a short walk from the tender docks but on the same side of the swing bridge. There is a small lighthouse, just outside the docks with an interesting story. And a short taxi ride will get you tot he colorful Belize sign. I think most city torus hit all or most of these spots.
