iMessage question

If I purchase the "social" internet package, will that allow me to use iMessage on my iPhone? If so, can i use it to text people not on the cruise so my kids back home or just with people on the cruise?

I had no problem using the imessage. I thought it was pretty good.

While I've seen some people say that they had "issues" using imessage, I have used it with the social package and it worked fine. Sometimes the messages delivered a little slowly, though, espcially the ones where I was sending a picture. Pictures took like 20 seconds to send. FYI you can also use Facebook Messanger, and that works almost instantly, even for pictures. LOVE the social package, so happy Carnival added that.

Just returned on Saturday and used the social media plan all week to iMessage my family at home. It worked great. I tried to send pictures and it was hit or miss going through, but text only was no problem.

I purchased the social media package that was $25 for the week - was able to use iMessage with this plan.
