Busy Booking some offshore excursions when I go to New Zealand on February 11th 2016 cruising on the beautiful GOLDEN PRINCESS

I think I'll just walk around Auckland for the day

Just doing 1 excursion a day ..

But yet to find a helicopter company who will just take 1 passenger :(

But if I have to pay double

I will

I HAVE to experience a Helicopter ride 🚁

I'll fly over any of the places we dock at

Best way, just book for two passengers and when you turn up say the other person didnt want to come but you will still pay for their seat. You never know, you may meet someone on board who is happy to join you and pay their way!

The Heli port in Auckland is at Mechanics Bay , which is at the end of the wharf area. A brisk walk from where your ship will dock. Just Google Helicopter rides/sightseeing Auckland and there are several to choose from.

If there is a Roll Call for your cruise you could ask on there for someone to join you.

Sightseeing over Auckland would be fantastic as depending on how long you want to fly , you could take in the wild west coast beaches ,the bush clad ranges, the city and it expansive suburbs ,and then out over the Harbour and Gulf to the Islands.

The web site shore trips and tours have helicopter flights from Tauranga and Bay of Islands if that is of any help. I haven't used them but they might have something suitable

Helicopter flights from Tauranga can take you over White Island - an active marine volcano. Frontier Helicopters can even land you on the volcano! Other helicopter flights from Tauranga can take you over the thermal areas around Rotorua.
