the english lady Posted November 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2015 My son is 15 does he have to wear a full suit on the formal nights? What does your teenage children wear? Thanks Becky Children When dining in the informal buffet restaurants children can be casually dressed, if children are going to be with you in the evening in the more formal restaurants and theatre then, even on our Black Tie evenings, children can still dress more casually adopting our Evening Casual dress code, although denim isn’t allowed on these nights. This is from the p and o website. Smart trousers and shirt would be suitable. I have seen quite a few children in the past though that do the whole formal thing, and very smart they looked to. This included one formal babygrow that looked really really cute.

groovechick Posted November 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2015 On our last cruise when my son was 12/13, he wore dark school trousers, a smart short-sleeved shirt and tie on formal nights. Quite a lot of the friends he made on board, who were similar ages, wore dinner suits, lounge suits, or smart waistcoats and trousers. However, for our impending Christmas cruise, he will be wearing either a dark lounge suit or dinner suit on our 4 formal nights, partly because he is tall for his age and looks a lot older than he is (recently turned 15) and partly because we are hoping they will still fit for his school prom and uncle's wedding next year! Tink78 Posted November 1, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted November 1, 2015 I'm thinking of combining the prom and formal nights suit also!
