Has anyone been on the Emerald Princess lately with kids?

We are a family of 4 with two boys ages 6 and 9. Wondering what the Emerald Princess would be like for the children? It would be a 5 night cruise with stops in Princess Cays and Turks. Also any recommendations on what to do in Fort Lauderdale 2 days pre-cruise?

We haven't done Emerald but my youngest, no 11, loves Princess. That's basically a beach days cruise and a nice get away - GT is one of our favorite ports and it is worth a walk down the main beach off the port property to take the island tram tour. As for FLL, if you have a car you could spend a day going over to the everglades. I would also recommend the Miami zoo. TA website will give you some other great options.
