Hurricane Otis

Was anyone at sea during Otis, and if so, how rough were the seas? I'm leaving this weekend on the Star.

I was on the Carnival Pride last week, and we were heading for Otis Thursday night. The ship was VERY rocky Thursday night, and you could see everyone swaying back and forth when walking, (and we weren't drunk!) When we went to bed, we could feel the boat rocking a lot, but none of us got sick from it, so it weren't that bad.

I was on the Carnival Pride last week, and we were heading for Cabo Thursday night, which I think was the night before Otis got to Cabo. The ship was VERY rocky Thursday night, and you could see everyone swaying back and forth when walking, (and we weren't drunk!) When we went to bed, we could feel the boat rocking a lot, but none of us got sick from it, so it weren't that bad.

We had a VERY rough night. I put on my sea bands during the night just in case but fortunately didnt get sick. We had one out of our group of 6 get sick. When we went for breakfast, there were barf bags everywhere on the staircases, bathrooms, elevators. I guess many passengers and crew were sick.

We went for breakfast and that was a challenge. It was like you were really wasted drunk and trying to walk. Try holding your tray too.

We were very thankful of our captain because he was able to manuver us out of Otis's way. Didnt quite expect a hurricane but it makes great conversation!!
