Bottled Water

First time cruiser here, just a little confused over water. we have a soft drinks package but it doesnt include water, some cruise liners allow you to take water,but P&O Pearl have said no water allowed.

 

why is this allowed on some but not others ?

Apparently people smuggle alcohol in water bottles. You can take an empty one to fill up once on board.

Exactly right, P&O do allow a 12 pack of soda to be brought on but nothing else, most other lines allow two bottles of wine per cabin.

We just got a carafe of water from the pantry and took it back to our cabin. The water was $4.95 / bottle on board.
