Wrigley80's Carnival Elation Photo Review with the KREWE

So on the cruise I brought my dad's KREWE of NOLA KRUISERS t-shirt because I want to make a memorial quilt out of a lot of his cruising t-shirts. I decided that with his KREWE shirt I wanted everyone to write a message to my dad. I brought some Sharpie markers from home. This turned out to be a great idea and great tribute to my dad.

So after our meet and greet I headed up to Lido Deck to get some lunch...I decided to eat from the Deli today.

Serenity Deck was busy and I don't see too many chair hogs

A sight that just never gets old when you are cruising.....one of these days I am going to book a cruise with an AFT facing balcony just so that I can stare at this for the whole cruise

Brianna,

I seriously had thought about booking this cruise when you posted your last review to try out my first solo cruise. I have been playing around with the idea of a solo cruise for quite awhile now. Everytime I read gapearls reviews I want to do it, except I only have 1/3 of the energy that girl has!

I posted on your Facebook when your dad passed, but wanted to send my condolences but wanted to send my sympathies via cruise critic post. I've also been thinking a lot about you guys since (I hope this doesn't come across totally creepy, but you will see why at the end of my post).:o:o

I love/loved reading your reviews of the cruises you took with your dad. What a special relationship you guys have. My mother and I bonded a lot during our cruises together as well. It lets you get away from the everyday mundane and enjoy each others company, doesn't it? I was newly mourning the sudden loss of my mom when your dad passed, so I felt so much more raw emotion connected to your pain.

I look forward to the rest of your reviews.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I remember looking at your photos of the Alaskan Cruise. It is so great that you have those memories of that last cruise together....it is one that I know you will never forget.

I would have loved to have you cruising with me. You would love my KREWE. You are welcome to join us anytime.

Great, thanks so much, that sounds really convenient (and perhaps a little dangerous!)

I read somewhere that Elation is no longer offering lobster on the formal night regular menu. Is that true? (I'm really hoping it's not!)

It may have been dangerous...especially for us but oh well. That's what the Cheers package is for.

And unfortunately that is correct no lobster on the formal night menu. But this is not just on the Elation....that is on all cruises less than 6 days. You can still order lobster from the Steakhouse Selections menu for a $20.00 upcharge.

So you know when you drink....and I mean drink a lot you start to do some stuff that you may regret later. Well this is where Josh starts to think maybe I shouldn't have had that extra Long Island

We decided to head up to Lido because Stu wanted to grab a bite to hold him over till dinner. We never knew that we were going to get a show too. For anyone who was on the Elation on December 7th sailing and happened to be on Lido Deck at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon on December 8th you got guys a show and hopefully you got it on video because I know I did. It was too good to pass up.

LOL....and more LOL...loving your review.

re, "Pedro, don't jump"!....Why would he want to jump when he is hanging out with such a fun bunch like you folks:).

I like your favorite drinks too. Twilight zone and the Cruiser are two of my faves. I discovered the mango swirl on my last cruise, and that one has joined my list now too.:D

Really enjoying your review!

Thank You. Laura said put Pedro up on the railing....I told her if he falls "you're going to get him" :p And yeah we are a pretty fun group to cruise with.

Mango Swirl....I'm guessing that is Pina Colada and Mango. I will have to try that later this month on the Dream.

After Josh's performance on the Lido Deck we all decided to head back to our cabins and get ready for formal night dinner. Now normally my idea of formal night is a t-shirt and shorts but I can clean up when I need to

Me, Dana, and Sam. It is kinda hard to see in this picture but PEDRO was even dressed up for formal night. He had a top hat, black shoes, and most importantly a bow tie on. Gotta keep it formal :p

So that ends day #2 onboard the Carnival Elation. Maybe not as much craziness as what we had on day #1 but just wait until you see what we did on day #3 in Cozumel.

Oh poor Edwin at Mr. Sanchos will NEVER be the same  :p :) ;)

Gotta Love the CHEERS package! It was avaliable on my last cruise , Jan2013 :) most days I only made it to 7 -8 but very spaced out. I was also traveling with friends and my then 4 year old son.

I just moved from Pennsylvania to Flordia, Im about 20-30 mins from JAX port.. I believe. I cant wait to cruise moRe since almost all ports are drivable :)

It was my first time getting Cheers but definitely not my last. We spaced out drinks out too...and stayed up late to get to our 15 limit [emoji12]

I have been thinking of moving to Florida for awhile now. I've had a few interviews there. I just have to find work there. If I lived in Florida it would be hard not to be on a cruise every week.

Y'all look like a blast to cruise with! Hopefully one day we will be on the same cruise so I can meet you! I love all the pics and oh goodness Josh is such a fun character. I bet there is never a dull moment with him.

Would love to cruise with ya. It is so much fun to cruise with the KREWE. It's definitely a group of people who like to have a great time.

And oh don't even get me started on Josh [emoji23][emoji23] he definitely kept me laughing. Everyone needs to have a best friend like him
