I wonder how much cross talk was happening before they figured out it was coming from the other ships.

I would think they knew it was going to happen so not a surprise to the few crew that carry radios instead of Wave Phones now..

It isn't the first time two DCL ships have been alongside together by a long shot.

When you think about it Arthur, it's not that dissimilar to two or more coast guard ships sailing alongside each other.

 

Each ship CG or DCL would have separate frequencies along with shared ones. (unless the coast guard use digitally encrypted frequencies, but I think that is unlikely).

Shame the Magic seems to be burning a lot more dirty than her sister behind her.

I'm sure DCL got some pictures, but will release them without the exhaust smoke!

That *PUFF* of smoke indicates she could be also just changing RPM/speed up or down. In doesn't look like a steady stream of smoke trail which would a fix RPM/speed.
