acurleegirl Posted January 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2016 We will be in St. Thomas on Feb. 2nd while on the Norwegian Escape, and are thinking of booking a kayaking trip while there. I have been searching the forums to find some info, but can't find much! Has anyone done a kayak/hike/snorkel in St. Thomas? If yes, did you book through the cruise or another company? And how was it? Thanks!
Ms411 Posted January 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2016 Very few cruisers have posted their experience with that excursion on cruisecritic, by quite a few cruisers have posted reviews on TripAdvisor. People really love the excursion if they book independently because of the smaller group. I've done the excursion, though years ago, and it was excellent! DiTomCruisers Posted January 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2016 We took a kayak excursion (Kayak, Hike & Swim, something like that) which was a lot of fun. They took us through the mangroves and then a slight hike and a swim afterwards, then kayaked back. I'd recommend it, but if you are looking to exclusively kayak, I have no idea where to rent one nor where to go.
Ms411 Posted January 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2016 The ships only work with one kayak company, which is the same company that allows you to book independently.
acurleegirl Posted January 11, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 11, 2016 Thank you! I think we are going to try booking independently for a 3-4 hour kayak, hike and snorkel! Seems fun and a little different than going to a beach!
