Newark-Bayonne Hotel & transport

Hi! We'll be staying in NJ pre-cruise on 11/09/2005. Would like to find a reasonable hotel/motel close to port (Bayonne) but w/access to transportation to NYC. Any ideas?

Need your help guys/gals. I have a tentative reservation at a cheapie hotel, but it offers shuttle service from the airport and I can get to the path for a $5 cab ride. It might not be in the best of places, however, does anyone have any experience w/the Ramada in Jersey City on Tomelli (sp?).? Just need a place for 1 night.

This is not the ideal place you want to stay for easy access into NYC.
