Ride share to Prague wanted!

 

We depart Budapest April 3, and go upstream to Passau, ending April 10, 2016

 

We have other arrangements in Prague, so we will not be doing the Viking Prague cruise extension from the end of the cruise. However, we do need to transit from Passau to Prague.

 

Viking said no when we asked about paying for only the bus ride with the Prague extension group, so now we will take the train or hire a car or van to drive from Passau to Prague. The car hire and driver can be shared, price for the car or van is the same with additional passengers.

 

We are looking for people who could share the ride and split the cost with us. Or for those who have already made a similar arrangement and would like some riders.

 

There are train options also, but it takes several transfers, and twice as long as a direct car trip.

 

Also, we are arriving in Budapest a couple days early, because....why not? If there are others doing the same, maybe we can share a guide / taxi etc to do things not included by Viking.

We hired i.c. Taxi online from Passau to Prague. We asked for a larger vehicle, I think it was a Mercedes van, because we wanted to share the ride.

Accidentally hit send! We found a couple onboard our Viking cruise who agreed to share with us. The cost was very reasonable, the driver was wonderful and the Mercedes was impeccable. Best decision we made. I.c. Taxi, look them up online or even facebook for contact information.

Thanx finiansbay!...We are also hoping to find other travelers. Question...was there a bulletin board or similar on your river cruise? It would be great if we could somehow announce the thought to other passengers on the cruise.
