Bringing wine/champagne on board

Layla

Recommended Posts

Hi All -

This is my first time on the boards. We're taking a cruise on the Star Princess in December and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a limit to the amount of wine/champagne you can take on board.

Yours in Cruising, Layla

I believe it states somewhere "for personal consumption." ; so its pretty open. I've read of people wheeling on a case with no problems. We had a box (case size I guess) with mixers and wine and champagne - no problem at all.

Has anybody ever brought 1.5 liter wine bottles? We have a party of 6 and would like to share at dinner, have no problem with corkage fee, just wondering what would happen with a larger bottle.

I always have a corkscrew in my luggage and it was a good thing. The Diamond server claimed they were out of them when he brought a bottle of wine to my stateroom.
