Hey guys. My apologies for the wait. I'm in grad school and life got a hold of me. Here are some more photos from Mexico. They are a bit out of order from my last post, but I like them so here they are.

The girls were going nuts over my fish. I guess they don't leave the head in the South. Island fish is the best.

This was the best tan ever. I didn't feel burnt and I still have it weeks later.

Next Up is a very fun day at Sea!

Today was St. Patrick's Day. Lots of St. Patrick's Day events going on. I woke up at about 9 am and grabbed a latte from the coffee bar. I went up to lido to crab a small bite to eat. Then I ran into some friends and went to Sea Day Brunch.

Steak and Eggs. Delicious.

I walked around the ship after brunch and ran into my girls from Cozumel. They were on the upper deck tanning. I snagged my favorite shot.

I walked back to the pool area for a taco and another drink. I asked for my Twilight Zone but ended up with a regular pina colada. I had to go back to the bar and get the blue raspberry added and an extra shot. At this time there was a Guys versus Girls competition at the pool. Hilarity then ensued.

Girls and Guys

The guys were losing, but in the last round the girls were dropping off. They had to run into the crowd for various items such as sunglasses, fun times, sign and sail cards, and a grandmother (LOL).

I had to run to Tea Time at 3 pm. I sat next to a wonderful older couple who were Platinum. It was nice hearing why they loved Carnival so much and their comparisons to older cruise lines. I saw them at the R rated comedy show later that night. His wife loved the comedy shows, and she really had a great time. There were not many people. Maybe twenty tops. There were cucumber sandwiches, salmon on toast, and french macaroons. I loved the cucumber sandwiches. I just had Lipton tea, its my fav anyway. You can pay extra for the other stuff.

To be continued, next up dinner and The Brits!

I did not take a shot of the bathroom sorry. But there should not be any reason you can not maneuver in the room. I loved the room. The shower has a chair in it and plenty of space for an extra person in case she needs extra assistance. There is a bar near the toilet and on the bathroom door. I would book it if I were you.

I stayed in a handicapped room once with my mom and she was in a wheelchair. The bathroom was great. Door war extra large and no lip into the shower if you have to roll in. The doorway to the room was the smallest. But it was the last cabin on the end so there was a wall on one side. Made it a little awkward

The door way to the room was small. I kept the bathroom door open so it wouldn't be awkward when I went into the closet. I don't mind the layout of the room, but the water on the floor was annoying. Glad your mom was comfortable in the room.

I'm sure I headed to my room to take a nap before dinner. It was sad going to dinner. Of course I enjoyed the farewell show.

I passed on the green St. Patrick's Day cake. We had some new interesting dinner mates. Two male friends, one was Platinum (we will call him Mr. Platinum) and the other was a first time cruiser. After Mr. Platinum had his third angry orchard before the entrée was served I knew what was going on. Apparently Mr. Platinum (30 yr old bachelor) loved cruising. He also loved drinking. Mr. Platinum said he loves cruising so much it is a deal breaker for his relationships (I kinda agree, but I don't mind going solo). Mr. Platinum said that he works for two months straight and then takes a cruise; awesome sauce! After we left dinner we all went to see the Brits show. I didn't know any of the British trivia, but it was cool to see the other passengers finishing the songs and answering questions.

Mr. Platinum was not a fan of the shows on Carnival, but somehow he ended up in the front row. I was terrified that he would do something crazy (He was at about five angry orchards at this point). Mr. Platinum had the biggest smile on his face the entire show. He loved it. I mean his head was bopping, fingers and feet tapping. I love seeing people happy. After the show we headed to Karaoke. We ran into the band. This is where we lost Mr. Platinum.

The Band. They were outside the Casino.

Mr. Platinum's friend left karaoke to go look for him. When he returned, Mr. Platinum was still missing. At this point there was an announcement made that stated we were turning back around to help find a boat that has been lost at sea for a week. We didn't hear the announcement in Karaoke, but Mr. Platinum's friend told us. Pardon me, but I was confused how the rescue would start at 9pm or so and they have been missing for a week. This scared one of the girls because she was concerned with getting back to port late. We headed to the comedy show and I saw some friends. It was ok. The one guy does a lot of audience interactions and the Cowboy guy makes a lot of "retard" jokes.

After the comedy show we said goodnight to Mr. Platinum's friends and headed to the Lido deck for the infamous chicken sandwich. The sandwiches just came out the oven. They cut them in half I guess to conserve. I requested cheese on mine and one server said I had to wait. The other server put cheese on a sandwich and immediately handed one to me. I let it go because he clearly was thinking the same as me. If your cutting sandwiches in half and someone requests cheese; all you have to do is put cheese on one of the sandwiches in front of you. The sandwich was the bomb by the way. By this time the missing ship was located and we were back on track. One of the girls was getting sea sick so we headed to be close to 12am.

The girls and I.

Next up: Debarkation and Conclusion!

So after waking up to the ship docked in Miami, I quickly got dressed and ran to lido for food. I had no intention of getting off the ship during my scheduled self-assist time (7:30 am). After breakfast I was quite bored so at about 9:30 ish I went to get my bags. The line was wrapped around the Empress deck all the way to the end and up the stairs. I grabbed my bags and ran into the girls from Cozumel and patiently waited. Debarkation took approximately thirty minutes. A sad unfortunate situation happened to a girl in front of us. Her boyfriend dropped his large luggage on her foot. The wheel landed on her big toe nail and completely broke her toe nail off from the cuticle. It was literally hanging on by a piece of skin. I felt bad for both of them because that left him dragging two large rolling luggage's and a carry-on, and that left her crying and crawling on the floor. They made it off safely though. RIP to her toe nail. It's going to take months to grow that back.

I got off the boat and went through customs (about twenty mins). First time I got the "you're traveling alone?" question with a curious stare, but I know its common. The shuttle to Miami Airport was waiting and we left after about another twenty mins. The bus was not full. There were only about 15 people on it. I checked in at the airport and waited for my 2pm flight. My gate changed twice as I waited. Roughly three hours later I was at work processing paperwork. SIGH.

Well folks, this is the end of my journey. I had the time of my life again. I loved Cheers! and the old menu. Now that I have had the old menu I can appreciate the new one! I think the smaller ships have hotter food. I would def sail this ship again. There was lots to do and the weather was perfect. I would book a handicap room again if the price is right. I did not like the flooding though. I would not book that room if I am traveling with someone. The floor would always be wet until the steward comes in. The Fantasy does not have all the bells and whistles like the Breeze, but everything in life is what you make of it. I would love to sail the Vista, but I won't be able to book until the end of 2016. I should be on the Splendor in May 2016 to Amber Cove and Grand Turk. I'm dying to go to Grand Turk!!! I hope you have all enjoyed. Thanks for hanging in there! Feel free to ask any questions; I will try my best to answer them in a timely manner.

Thanks for your review and all of your pics of the Fantasy. I'm also from the DC/MD area. I'm holding a cabin on the Fantasy for 4/4/16 to continue a tradition of taking DS on a cruise to celebrate his birthday. I just want a quick getaway for he and I, plus I love Key West and Cozumel- no matter how many times I've already been.

Do you have any idea how active the teen club is? Just curious if you happened to walk by and noticed any teens in there. He enjoys going on cruises for the teen club and activities only second to the unlimited food. [emoji38]
