My impression was that Carnival's advertising was pushing family cruises

 

while trying to rid themselves of the booze cruise image.

 

 

Gotcha!! I have attended every Quest on RC and one on Carnival. You are right that Quest isn't "family friendly" but neither are some of the comedy shows. Adults need some entertainment solely for them.

 

However, both lines are good on "policing" it. It's held late at night (11:45), open to 18+, and I have seen staff at all the Quest's advising patrons what they might see or hear.

 

It is quite funny to watch! My 68 year old mother attended Quest on RC when her and I took a cruise a few years back. She laughed and enjoyed herself. My dad and her are joining my family for a cruise this June and she has already asked if Carnival has Quest. She wants my dad to see it.
