lidorose Posted May 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Is the port shuttle designed to carry both passengers and their luggage? If so, how does it work? Is it loaded underneath or would we have to carry it on ourselves and make room for it in our seat or are their luggage racks like airport shuttles? There are five ships in port the day we're there, so I'm assuming it will run about every 20 minutes from the time the other passengers disembark to the time our ships are ready to depart? lj77346 Posted May 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2016 You can take luggage on the port shuttle, but you have to take it on the bus with you. There is space for luggage, but unless you're traveling light, a cab is probably a better option. The shuttle stop is not near any hotels so to get there you need to ride the metro, take a cab, or walk. If you just have carry on luggage and are fairly mobile, the shuttle can work - I've used it. However, if you have a lot of luggage and can't move it easily, a cab is worth the extra Euros.
lidorose Posted May 24, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted May 24, 2016 Thank you! Our hotel is about 1/4 mile from the Columbus Monument, so it might be doable. If there were no space for luggage, it wouldn't be an option at all. We can see when we get there.
