lmintzer Posted May 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2016 I did a search, and it looks like Uber and Lyft can now legally pick up at SeaTac (as of March of this year). Looks like the challenge is finding the pick up spot in the parking garage. Has anyone tried this? We will be looking for transportation for 3 (plus luggage) from SeaTac to the Hampton Inn, Seattle Downtown this July. Probably will not be able to manage the light rail with all of our cruise luggage.
mapleleaves Posted May 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) From the Port web site: http://www.portseattle.org/Sea-Tac/Parking-and-Transportation/Ground-Transportation/Pages/tnc.aspx Looks like they pick up next to the taxi line inside the parking garage structure. So, you would collect your luggage at Baggage Claim on Floor 3, take the elevator/escalator to floor 4, walk across the skybridge over the Arrival Drive, then back down to floor 3 again. lmintzer Posted June 1, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted June 1, 2016 Thanks much! That's very helpful. Glad that I'll be able to use Lyft. I'm guessing that it will be less expensive than a cab.
mapleleaves Posted June 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2016 Sorry, i don't know what uber charges. It's about a 30 minute drive. Yellow Cab is the company at the airport taxi line and they charge about $45 to downtown. The flat rate cab company charges $29 to downtown. That's for a prius, $7-$8 more for a minivan. http://www.flatrateforhire.com
