driving & parking at Manhattan cruise port

I'm leaving this Saturday on the Carnival Sunshine. I looked at the NYC cruise port page and it shows nwcl leaving that day also from that port. What time should I plan to arrive? Will it be busier since there are 2 ships leaving that day? Do we all park together or is it separate parking? Alao I see a coupon for the Norwegian gem parking, any chance they would honor it for Carnival parking? Any help would be great. This will be my first time driving to NYC.

The Manhattan Port is made up of three piers, two ships per pier. NCL uses the most southern Pier 88 and Carnival the middle Pier 90. 92 is rarely used.

Parking is on the roof of each pier for each departure you park on the pier you are leaving from. You can set your car alarm from an open deck.

There are rare times that a Carnival will return to a different pier then they departed usually on their shorter cruises and only when there is no NCL ship calling.

Departing passangers leave and there is room for you to park. I've always arrived at 10a.
