Rental Car Timing - RC at Port Canaveral

We're leaving on FOTS from Port Canaveral in a couple of weeks. I plan on dropping off the rest of my party at the cruise terminal, return my rental car, and ride the rental company shuttle back to the terminal. How much time should I expect from dropping off my party to rejoining them after the shuttle ride? Is dropping them off around 10am early enough, too early, or about right? I see Hertz is the closest, will renting through them be a lot quicker turnaround than the other rental companies?

I'd estimate 15-45 minutes to get back to the terminal. The big unknowns are the shuttle bus and the line at the rental car counter. If the shuttle bus has left just beofre you arrive, you could be waiting 20 minutes for that to return, depending on how many other ships are in port that day. I've no idea how Hertz turnaround time compares to other companies.

We have used Avis and Budget and made the round trip in 30 minutes easy. 10am will be fine.
