Yes, it was renamed upon passage of the Canada Act by the the Parliament of the United Kingdom to "patriate" Canada's constitution in 1982.

 

Canada Day wasn't named by Parliament in Westminster. It was officially named Canada Day by a Private Members Bill in Canada's Parliament that received Royal Assent on October 27, 1982.
