port of miami-drug store/wine

We plan to arrive in Miami Saturday afternoon for a Sunday cruise departure. We are flying from Montana with 2 small kids, so I'm trying to simplify packing. We are staying at the Holiday Inn near the port. Is there somewhere nearby where we could pick up kids sand toys (bucket/trucks) and a few bottles of wine? Is it walking distance or should we take a cab? Perhaps have the cab stop on the way to the hotel? Would we be able to purchase the wine Sunday AM? Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Not sure about wine, but there is a Walgreen's that is within walking distance of the Holiday Inn.
