Getting On Norwegian Gem In Boston - Tips For Surviving Embarkation With Kids?

Any tips for getting on the ship and surviving that long, long wait?

We're sailing Norwegian Gem with a 10-month-old and almost 3-year-old.

The only way I know to make it go a little smoother is to pre-register us online. Sadly, we have a balcony room, but not a suite so there's no way for us to get VIP that way. Not sure if I am missing another way to get "express" check-in.

In Puerto Rico, we bought all the workers a beer and skipped right to the front of the line, just behind the elderly and VIPs. Don't think that'll fly departing from Boston, though, ha ha.

My toddler is super active, so I'm not sure how she'll handle the wait.
