Shaken_Bake Posted September 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2016 Over 12 years ago, when DH and I were about to embark on our first cruise ever, I posted a little ditty about the night before we left. It goes something like this: Twas the night before cruisin’ And all through the house Every creature was stirring! Especially me and my spouse! The fancy duds were hung In the garment bag with care With visions of boat drinks Being hoisted in the air! But that's as far as I got. Now, as we are about to embark on our second and third cruises, I remembered this and decided to see if I could get any other talented contributors to add a verse. Arrrrgghhh, it's getting late and I have so much to do! See you on the other side!
datone Posted September 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2016 This is a poem someone sent me about cruising. Don't know who the writer was but credit to them. Twas the night before Cruising, when all through the house Excitement was mounting, even the spouse The suitcases were packed by the door with care In hopes that the morning would soon be here The husband was nestled all snug in his bed With visions of cocktails dancing in his head And me in my nightie, checking my swimmers and hats Had just printed our passes for the quick morning dash Driving to the port, so lively and quick I knew in a moment we'd be seeing the ship The heart skipped a beat when it came into view Our Princess cruise ship - oh how I love you We sprang to the queue, to get our room key with glee And we danced to the boarding gate like birds flying free Then we head for a photo, with a smile so sweetly "Welcome Back to Princess", let's escape completely
