Yes we have bought beer on the cruise without any problem , you don't even have to hide it just carry it on. We have also bought beer in the different ports and carried right on, this is agreat way to try the local beers, corona, dos equis, red stripe, stingray ect. They don't really publicize this but it is allowed . We have done it many times!

We have brought beer onboard on every Princess cruise we've taken (we've done 7 at this point) and it's never been questioned. They always ask if we have any hard liquor and I always say " No", which is true because it's just as reasonable or even more so to order bottles from room service.

In Barbados we brought a 6 pak of Banks beer on board with no problems and it handled the x-rays very well. We even got 6 little bottles of rum on board for a side drink or two! As long as you don't bring alot of beer on board it should be okay

Enjoy
