cezovski Posted November 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2005 I know you can bring wine/champagne/soda on board Princess. What about beer? I read on a message board somewhere that you can....has anyone actually brought beer on board with or without a problem?
ckornuta Posted November 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2005 Yes we have bought beer on the cruise without any problem , you don't even have to hide it just carry it on. We have also bought beer in the different ports and carried right on, this is agreat way to try the local beers, corona, dos equis, red stripe, stingray ect. They don't really publicize this but it is allowed . We have done it many times!
cynbar Posted November 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2005 We have brought beer onboard on every Princess cruise we've taken (we've done 7 at this point) and it's never been questioned. They always ask if we have any hard liquor and I always say " No", which is true because it's just as reasonable or even more so to order bottles from room service. tnf Posted November 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2005 Do you put it in your carryon that is x-rayed or scanned or in you checked luggage? Tina
VegasCruiseGirls Posted November 2, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 2, 2005 Excellent questions all! I have been told that everyone just sneaks a couple of bottle of hard liquor on board in their luggage and that if they happen to catch you they just take it away but that chances are you will not be caught. Has anyone else heard this or heard differently?
Suzieb Posted November 2, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 2, 2005 In Barbados we brought a 6 pak of Banks beer on board with no problems and it handled the x-rays very well. We even got 6 little bottles of rum on board for a side drink or two! As long as you don't bring alot of beer on board it should be okay Enjoy
cynbar Posted November 2, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 2, 2005 We carry on any beer or wine we're bringing -- the way I've seen those porters throw around the checked luggage, I'm not sure I'd take a chance with that!!
