Sky Destinations for the Oct 10th Sailing?

We are booked on the Sky for the Oct 10th sailing. Given the nature of the future track of Mathew circling back around and the damage the Bahamas has already sustained, I'm wondering if we should expect a different itinerary. Will NCL go to a port that has just been through a hurricane?

*Norwegian Sky will have a slightly delayed embarkation today at PortMiami. The ship's three-day cruise departing today will not visit Nassau as scheduled and will instead remain at sea. Guests will receive a 50% credit towards a future cruise.

I saw that... I guess we just won't know until we are on the ship. It seems like they don't announce changes until the last minute. We were hoping for the mexico route with sunny weather.

I too am sailing Sky on Oct 10th. The cruise that just docked this morning stopped in Key West and Cozumel instead of the Bahamas due to the storm. With the hurricane damage in mind, I would think they will probably choose this itinerary as well. Wont bother me a bit.

Yesterday's NCL.com posting stated that the Monday cruise was going to key west and cozumel. Today, they are focused on today's cruise to nowhere.

Just talked to NCL and Sky's itinerary for 10/10 is on schedule. Freeport and Nassau are the stops

ended up being nassau and key west. it was quite boring going there again as a floridian and only being docked for 6 hours.

I agree justippy....we are Floridians as well and visit Key West annually.

We were hoping for Freeport since we have never been there.

At least we will be in Nassau to celebrate our 30th anniv on November 1.

 

My daughter is leaving out of NY on Sunday on the Breakaway and originally planned on visiting the same islands as we were.....she still hasn't received any "official" notification of her changes. She had to hunt down her TA!

Her vacation summary hasn't changed either. (Ours was updated yesterday)

 

Hoping the re-route would put us in Nassau at the same time, but she will be there the day after us. Would have been awesome to have seen her and my Granddaughters!

 

Would have thought NCL would have offered us to cancel, not that we would have.

 

That's what happens when you book during hurricane season.

 

Oh well, a good time is what you make of it!

 

BTW - Key West is 7am - 5pm
