I am a newbee to the Princess board and I promise that I am not starting a flaming war.
Our family group of 9 just booked a cruise with the Caribbean Princess to celebrate my inlaws 50th anniversary on 1/8/05. My wife has a medical problem with her feet and legs that does not allow her to wear stockings or high heels. Therefore she cannot wear anything too fancy. Would she be out of place if she were to wear a nice pants outfit with flats?

Welcome, that will be fine, there will be many dressed just like her. If could convince my gal I was allergic to my tux I would have more room in my bag but... what the heck women love to be on James Bonds arm once in a while.
