minimum cash p&o cashless card

Hi all,

Just wondering what the minimum payment is for the cashless cards on board the pacific jewel P&O cruise lines.

I have read online that its $300 minimum deposit to be paid at the reception desk within 24 hours, but those posts were a few years old.

Has anyone had any recent experiences with paying in cash?

 

Would prefer not to use card, as I have limited funds and use my cards for rent and bills, so I can't risk my card being in 'hold' for an extended period of time. Thanks!

I've cruised twice before with P&O (and next one on Tuesday), I usually only do $200-$300, not sure if there is indeed a minimum but my brother said he only put $100 on his card back in February with no issues.
