Kaftan Kween Posted December 4, 2016 #51 Share Posted December 4, 2016 Sue, After reading your post I am now determined to take my DH and DD to Maro's when we are in Cabo in February. I even went to Trip Adviser to read more about the place and find that they open at noon the day we are in port. While I don't expect you to speak for every situation, do you think we will have enough time to have lunch and still return to the Jewel for a 2 pm departure? Ordinarily we can finish a well served meal in less than 1/2 hour, but not if it takes and hour +.... Thanks for your help and great report on the Jewel; we sail in Suite 11018 1/20 and I'm hoping we get Bruno for our Concierge. We had Karen on the Star in June. Maybe there is more than one Karen? Cheers, Jennifer

Cheers, Jennifer Yes, Maro's opens at noon. It isn't usually crowded early in the day and I don't think most people on cruises know about the place. I think it is more of a place for people who stay on land in Cabo. If you go to Maro's at noon, you will be done in an hour or less for sure. Like I said, we walked to Maro's from the cruise dock .6 miles and my husband and MIL took a pedicab there. I you love Lobster, you will love it!! suesings Posted December 4, 2016 Author #53 Share Posted December 4, 2016 We left Cabo on Wednesday (last tender from Cabo was 1:30 AM). We spent the morning in Cabo jet skiing and getting muffins and coffee at Bar Esquina. That night we went to Le Bistro for dinner. We had a beautiful red velvet booth. We all commented that it didn't look or feel like we were in a restaurant on a cruise ship.
suesings Posted December 4, 2016 Author #54 Share Posted December 4, 2016 Thursday, Thanksgiving, was a sea day. We tried the sushi place. It was okay. Not great but not horrible. For Thanksgiving dinner we had a 6:30 reservation at Cagney's. My husband and MIL had the Filet Mignon and they said it was fabulous. I had the chicken, one teen had the shrimp and the other teen just ordered sides (Mac and cheese, green beans, and potatoes). For dessert, I had the brownie, two people had the apple dessert (which looked fantastic and I wish I had gotten) and two people got the Oreo cheesecake. suesings Posted December 4, 2016 Author #55 Share Posted December 4, 2016 My husband and I purchased the Thermal Suite package. Here is a picture of the Thermal Suite Area. I actually liked the Women's spa area even better. I tried to get some pictures to post but it only let me post one
