Oosterdam question?

We will be sailing on Oosterdam in May- I have a question about the decks,etc. we currently have (the only room left in our category) which is not ideal (based on what I've read,but it will have to suffice) and I am wondering about the deck plan..... we are booked in F1008,main deck. (good I guess b/c it's lower, not so good b/c it's so far forward) anyway the deck right above, lower promenade,according to the plans on this site show a blank area right above our section of cabins, at the front of this deck is the vista lounge balcony, farther back is the casino. what is that 'blank; space? I'm hoping it's something not too noisy right over our heads....

I'm not sure if you've looked at the deck plans on HAL's site so here's a link. You can look at every deck on every ship. Your cabin really isn't all too far forward; there are lots of cabins (on other decks) further forward than that. You are about 1/3 of the way down, right by the forward elevators.

 

I have no idea what's in that white space, as it is behind the elevators. It could be storage, or some of it could be mechanical equipment for the elevators.

My guess would be storage of some sort, and not noisy.

I am aboard Oosterdam right now. The area you question is the Casino office and storage.
