Montego Bay Questions

We will be in Montego Bay in March 2017 on the Carnival Dream. Will the ship dock there or is this a tender port? Also, any recommendations on beaches in the Montego Bay area?

There is no tender for Montego Bay. I don't think there are beaches nearby, according to my extensive research on it. We decided to do an all inclusive at a resort (Sunscape Splash) that we booked through resortforaday.com.

you do tie up in Montego ... I've never seen a ship anchor out and tender in (and I've visited many times since 1974 both vacations and 'working')

 

The most popular beach, not associated with a resort, is Doctor's Cave ... the beach I visited often during my first visit in 74

You can find both the pier area and Dr's Cave via Google Earth ... and you will observe that they are about 2 miles apart (straight line) and a wee bit more by road .... more than most want to walk .....

 

taxi are usually easy to find ....
