Granny1 Posted February 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2017 Hi everyone, just looking for information on the Jacksonville cruise port. Does it sail down the St John's river and can you see the ship sailing from the road, I think it's Heckscher Dr that goes up to the southern part of Amelia Island. I want to be able to show hubby just how big these ships really are as he has never cruised with me. Thanks in advance for any local info that somebody could give me..Thank you
Dancindukes2 Posted February 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Amelia is North so no it will not pass there. It does go out the River past Mayport which is lovely.

jcl410 Posted February 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2017 Yes, the port is on Heckscher Drive, between I-95 and I-295. It's east of the Dames Point Bridge. Here's a link to Google Maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Heckscher+Dr,+Jacksonville,+FL/@30.4120842,-81.5810323,3a,60y,176.64h,80.91t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1su42o_2kL_icMpJ-PD2eABA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4m5!3m4!1s0x88e5b2bd36812765:0x9806ce13608b1091!8m2!3d30.4178824!4d-81.5333293 Aloha, John
jcl410 Posted February 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2017 Yes, the port is on Heckscher Drive, between I-95 and I-295. It's east of the Dames Point Bridge. I'm direction challenged this week! The cruise port is WEST of the Dames Point Bridge, and Blount Island. Aloha, John
